Abstract
This talk will present a high-level and global perspective on where E-learning has come, where it should go, and what the major challenges are today. Topics will include standards, architecture, repositories, learning objects, digital rights management, and a few comments on some National Science Digital Library and mathematics-related projects in which the speaker is involved.

Biography
Robby Robson is president of Eduworks Corporation and chair of the IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee. Robby has played key roles in large number of projects related to the definition and development of networked learning technology and strategy, both in the private and public sectors. He is well-known author and presenter in the e-learning community with a personal interest in application to mathematics. Robby received a Ph.D. in mathematics from Stanford in 1981 and spent 17 years on the faculty at Oregon State University. His full bio is online.
